Discussion:
Curious about an old arcade game
(too old to reply)

In the 1980's, there was an old, upright, video arcade game that had
"you" as a "rocket ship" capable of moving all around the screen,
firing "lasers" from the rocket ship at "meteors" as they fell from
the sky. If a meteor hit you, you lost a life and, eventually, the
game (if the meteors got by you, nothing bad happened). It isn't
anything like "Missile Command". I thought it was called "Meteors" or
"Comets", or something like that, but I can't find anything like it on
the 'net.

Any idea what it was called?
(bonus points if you know of an URL that shows it!)

Thanks!

Could it be the 1981 Sega Astro Blaster?

No, that game is a "Galaxian" clone.
The game I'm referring to isn't either one.

I found something very close to the game I'm thinking of,
and, for all I know, it *is* the same,
but, I recall much better graphics in the arcade version:

Try emailing the guy at klov.com. He's answered my "i can't remember
the name of" questions with way less detail that you're giving.

Although my guess is Sinistar, but the meteors don't hurt you.
